                     Paricipants Are Satisified with Quality,Operation and Environment of the Center

[April 23, 2018] Korea-based leading contract research organization LSKGlobal Pharma Services Co., Ltd. released the results of a survey conducted amongstudents at LSK Education Center, the company’s education center dedicated to trainingfor professionals in clinical trials. The release of the survey results, whichcoincided with the introduction of a new advanced course for clinical trialmonitor staff that is set to start in April 2018, show that the participantswere satisfied with and gave positive reviews of the quality, operation andenvironment of education programs.

The survey wasconducted among a total of 948 people from both in and outside the company whoenrolled in programs at the center in 2017. The results show a high level ofsatisfaction among the participants, with more than 80% answering that theywere satisfied with the overall course and 79% stating they were satisfied withthe quality of programs. In the survey, 77% of the respondents were satisfiedwith the time allocated to each subject and 74% were satisfied with thefacilities, including class rooms, indicating that the particpants were highlysatisfied with the operation and the environment of the center in addition tothe programs.

Inparticular, when asked about the strength of the center, the participantsanswered that they were impressed with highly-qualified guest and in-housespeakers and the programs which focused on hands-on skills and knowledge. Thecenter has a system which includes not only in-house lecturers with goodknowledge but also a number of guest lecturers with an average of more than 10 yearsof experience in clinical trials. Education programs involve discussions andcase studies as well as theoretical work to ensure that the participants areinterested and engaged in class activities. The curriculum focuses on hands-onskills and knowlege including real-world cases. 

Peopleworking for clinical trial and bioequivalence test organizations must completea course provided at one of the 35 centers designated by the Ministry of Foodand Drug Safety (as of January 2018) at least once every year. LSK Global PSwas certified as a clinical trial training center by the MFDS in 2016, andestablished a dedicated education center to provide training to professionals involvedin clinical trials. A total of 456 people enrolled in programs at the center in2016 and 1,074 enrolled in 2017, as the center is open to not only its ownclinical trial staff but also those working for other organizations. There areonly two contract research organizations, including LSK Education Center, that arecurrently providing training to both in-house staff and people from outsideorganizations.
